Where to Invest Right Now
Amanda Heckman|June 11, 2022
You’ve surely heard the old saying about buying when there’s blood in the streets.
We bet you’ve heard it a lot lately.
But how much blood is too much?
A quick rundown of the latest hits that sent the market lower…
The national average for a gallon of gas hit $5…
The Consumer Price Index soared again in May, hitting a 41-year high of 8.6%.
And – surprise, surprise – a new consumer survey showed inflation is the top concern among Americans.
What to do?
Oddly enough, many folks are fleeing the markets and returning to cash… only to see their wealth wiped out by the dollar’s rapidly declining purchasing power.
Manward followers know better.
Andy and Alpesh have spent these past few weeks – years, even – offering readers a different path.
Be Tactical
When the markets shift course, Alpesh tells us, it’s time to make tactical changes. His proprietary strategy of analyzing growth, value and income hasn’t changed… but where he’s looking has.
He’s laser-focused on the energy sector right now. His latest Stock of the Week episode features a natural gas play with a flood of momentum pushing it higher.
While investing in nonrenewable energy may seem like a head-scratcher due to the push for clean energy sources… the numbers simply don’t lie. The company is raking in profits… and its forecasted growth is far higher than its current share price reflects.
And as long as a company does well in the business it is in, Alpesh reminds us… it should be a prime target for our investment dollars.
Andy also issued new guidance this week for our prized Modern Asset Portfolio, which is at the heart of our premium Manward Letter publication.
Now that interest rates have gone just slightly positive, it’s time to make some adjustments… reduce our exposure to the tech sector (since money is getting more expensive to borrow, a key variable for tech stocks)… and turn our attention to low-risk, ultra-safe blue chip stocks.
Subscribers got all the need-to-know information in the just-released June issue.
Andy also continues to pound the table for buyback stocks. After all, he reminds us, companies that have been buying back their own shares have been the “No. 1 driver of stock market wealth for the last decade.”
But even more, share buybacks are one of the ultimate inflation fighters. Here’s how Andy sees it…
Instead of stirring up demand for building materials, microchips or labor (all key inflation drivers), buybacks simply put the money back into the stock market – where a free economy can allocate it fairly.
Instead of driving up land prices or pushing labor costs even higher, buybacks would keep economic growth sustained… while ensuring the stock market doesn’t fall so far that it puts us into a spiraling recession.
That’s why, Andy says, if he were in charge, he’d “give tax breaks to any company that bought back its own shares.” And that’s why he firmly believes companies that are buying back their shares (like BP, Dow, Norfolk Southern and Progressive, to name a recent few) are worth a look.
As Andy and Alpesh have shown… there are still plenty of big opportunities in a market that just can’t stop the bleeding.
Investors can (and should) use these proven strategies to keep their portfolios healthy… and profitable.
And of course, there’s no better time to look at what Andy’s calling his No. 1 investment right now. For just $5, you could build the kind of generational wealth everyone dreams of.
This unique type of investment is unlike anything most investors have ever heard of. And while the rest of the financial world focuses on the market’s correction… ordinary folks are using this odd (and cheap) asset to get RICH… totally outside of the stock market.
To be clear, we’re not talking about crypto or some fancy kind of option. Andy will have more next week about why he’s so excited… or you can dive in early by clicking here.
