Shah Gilani's Archive
Shah Gilani
Wall Street superstar and former hedge fund manager Shah Gilani is the Chief Investment Strategist of Manward Press and at the helm of the Manward Money Report newsletter and the Launch Investor and Alpha Money Flow trading services. He’s a sought-after market commentator and has appeared on CNBC, Fox Business and Bloomberg TV. He’s also been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and The Washington Post, and he’s had columns published in Forbes.
In 1982, he launched his first hedge fund from his seat on the floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange. He worked in the pit as a market maker when options on the S&P 100 Index first began trading… and was part of a handful of traders who laid the technical groundwork for what would eventually become the CBOE Volatility Index (VIX). He also ran the futures and options division at the largest retail bank in Britain. Shah gained notoriety for calling the implosion of U.S. financial markets (all the way back in February 2008) AND the mega bull run that followed.
Now at the helm of Manward, Shah is focused tightly on one goal: To do his part to make subscribers wealthier, happier and more free.
The Best Semiconductor Stocks to Buy (and Avoid) Right Now
Markets are tapering today, thanks to some profit-taking that’s causing a bit of a bump in the overall bull market trend. As I covered yesterday, one of the next big market shifts in tech is likely to come from the growing conflict between the U.S. and China over semiconductor manufacturing. The Department of Commerce is […]
How to Profit from the U.S.-China Semiconductor Standoff
You probably know that the primary element used in the construction of semiconductors and computer chips is silicon, which is primarily extracted from quartz rock. What you may not know, however, is that silicon is far from the only element used in semiconductor manufacturing, and the other elements needed are some of the rarest in […]
How to Recognize Real Profit Potential in AI Stocks
Because artificial intelligence is such a hot topic now, more and more companies are claiming they’re onto it, will be using it, or are using it, because they want everyone to think it’s going to increase their revenues, profits, and stock prices. Because behavioral finance works the way it does, that belief can create a […]
Your Complete Investing Guide for “the Magnificent Seven”
The rally in the stock market we’ve been experiencing this year has been driven primarily by a group of seven high-cap tech companies that some analysts have dubbed “the Magnificent Seven,” a reference to the 1960 Western film starring Yul Brynner. Those seven stocks are: Nvidia Corp. (NVDA), Tesla Inc. (TSLA), Meta Platforms Inc. (META), […]
This Safety Stock Will Thrive No Matter Which Way the Market Goes
Today, the market’s balanced on a knife’s edge, and there’s a lot of mixed messaging about which way things are going to go. I think we’re at the beginning phase of a new bull market, and if you look past the day-to-day noise, the evidence seems clear. Every major index that people track is 20% […]
This Income Play Is a Perfect Hedge Against a Choppy Market
The Fed seems to have taken the wind out of the recent A.I.-related rally with its recent comments about more rates hikes on the horizon, and its commitment to getting inflation down to its 2% target. With that as the backdrop, and the current bull market under pressure, it’s more important than ever to be […]
Do This Before Commercial Real Estate’s $155 Billion “Debt Bomb” Explodes
That sound you’re hearing isn’t just me pounding the table about trouble in the commercial real estate space. It’s actually the echo of implosions happening around the country as landlords and CRE borrowers default on loans and mortgages, and valuations of suddenly for-sale distressed properties hit the floor. It’s time to run. I’ve been talking […]
What To Buy After You’ve Sold off All Your Commercial Real Estate Stocks
I’ve been shouting from the heavens that people need to get out of their positions in commercial real estate (CRE), especially REITs that hold a lot of commercial mortgage-backed securities. Those who’ve been listening to me have been asking me a natural question in response: “Okay, so, what do I do with all that capital […]
The Best Work-from-Home Stock to Buy Right Now
The monumental problems for commercial real estate continue, with stories about office vacancies piling up in the news. There’s a reason I’ve been talking about it for over a week now – when the bill comes due for all the companies attached to this hard-hit sector, the fall is going to be fast. There’s a […]
Score an Inflation-Crushing 11%+ Yield on This Stock
After 17 months of rate hikes, inflation is still higher than the Fed would like it, and the Central Bank is expected to raise rates another two times this year. Inflation just won’t come down, at least nowhere near the Federal Reserve’s 2% target rate – even after the Fed Funds Effective Rate has jumped […]
