The Nuclear Survival Guide: 3 Lifesaving Tips for Surviving a Nuclear Fallout
cflood|July 6, 2017
From Russia’s meddling in the U.S. presidential election… to North Korea’s weekly threats against our homeland and allies… to the nonstop terror attacks in Europe… the world is teetering on the brink of chaos.
And with so many rogue nations and radical crazies, the threat of a large- or small-scale nuclear attack has suddenly become very real.
But if the worst happens… are you and your family prepared for it?
Most Americans aren’t.
In fact, most folks are desensitized by the media’s constant stream of hype… and have become oblivious to how serious the threat has recently become.
After all, when an unstable foreign dictator threatens to “mercilessly annihilate” our nation and its allies, it’s not something to ignore.
That’s why every prudent citizen MUST be prepared… sooner rather than later.
In this report, you’ll learn the three essential steps you must take to survive a nuclear fallout.
These tips don’t require that you spend a whole lot of money… You’ll be able to protect yourself and your family for less than a hundred bucks.
This is NOT a full-scale plan for nuclear survival… but it is a simple guide to getting started and developing the right survivalist mindset.
So don’t take these tips for granted… because they might just save your life.
Survival Tip #1:
Get Inside… And Stay There
This might come as a shock, but trying to leave a nuclear blast area is a bad call.
If you’re within the blast radius when an attack occurs, you’ll want to get indoors IMMEDIATELY.
That’s the first critical decision you must make… don’t try to run or drive away.
You might think leaving the area would be smart, but it’s not.
What matters most is putting as many layers of material between you and the irradiated air outdoors.
That’s why one of the safest places to take cover is simply your own home.
Setting aside a space in your home – preferably in your basement, if you have one – to serve as the designated “fallout shelter” is a good idea.
You’ll want to store your canned foods, your water supplies and any first-aid equipment in that area, within as many protective layers as possible.
The key is to stay as close to the center of the home – and as deep underground –as possible.
That will keep you and your family away from the nuclear radiation and contaminated dust particles.
A basement will provide the best protection from the fallout.
Otherwise, find a room or spacious closet near the center of your home… and make sure everyone in your family knows to go there in an emergency.
Survival Tip #2:
Buy Potassium Iodide Pills
When Japan’s Fukushima nuclear power plant melted down in 2011, it was a terrible tragedy.
Worse, the damage is still occurring.
Years after the incident, the region is now seeing an increased number of patients with thyroid cancer. And the rate is alarmingly high in children.
That’s just one of the ways nuclear radiation can wreak havoc on your body.
Yet the truth is that many of these cases could have been prevented.
And all it takes is a simple potassium iodide pill.
You see, your thyroid gland is very sensitive to radiation.
That’s because it absorbs iodine… and in a nuclear blast, the iodine your body absorbs is radioactive.
The thyroid can’t tell the difference between radioactive iodine and normal, healthy iodine. So it absorbs both.
Of course, filling up on deadly levels of radioactive iodine isn’t good.
It can lead to a host of thyroid and other hormonal disorders in the body… including, as we’d expect, thyroid cancer.
But the thyroid gland can absorb only so much iodine.
That means you should fill it with normal iodine at the first sign of a nuclear emergency. Because once it’s full, it won’t absorb any more of the stuff.
The easiest way to fill your thyroid is by taking a simple potassium iodide pill.
When you take a potassium iodide supplement, you’re introducing the non-radioactive iodine into your blood for absorption by the thyroid gland.
And with a large enough dose, you can fill up the thyroid with so much of the good stuff that it can’t absorb the bad stuff.
Any excess iodine in the blood will then be quickly eliminated by the body.
That’s why having potassium iodide pills ready is a crucial survival tip.
But a word of caution…
The dosages available for potassium iodide vary. But the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that adults take a single 130-milligram tablet.
For children, that dose should be cut in half… so 65 milligrams instead.
Just one pill or tablet should offer thyroid protection for up to 24 hours.
One and done. That’s all it takes.
Potassium iodide pills can be bought locally or online. You can find a package of a dozen or so tablets for less than $10.
And the shelf life on these pills can be quite long. They can last six to seven years without losing their effectiveness.
It’s important, though, that you don’t leave these pills exposed to the open air.
Contact with the oxygen in the air can change the chemical properties of potassium iodide… and cause them to lose their potency and effectiveness.
At that point, they will be useless to you in a nuclear fallout.
So keep them sealed away until you absolutely need them.
Survival Tip #3:
Buy a Water Purifier
Keeping a fresh, clean supply of water is absolutely essential during a nuclear fallout scenario.
Especially if you’re taking cover for days at a time.
But nuclear radiation can contaminate your water supply, making it undrinkable.
Unfortunately, it’s not as simple as boiling water.
Boiling water might eliminate a decent amount of the radioactive debris… but it certainly won’t remove all of it.
Fact is, having a water filtration or purifier system at home is vital.
There are a few ways to purify your water in a nuclear survival scenario.
The simplest? A water pitcher.
Of course, it’s not going to be your ordinary water pitcher…
You should look for a pitcher with a “radiological filter.”
It will remove up to 99.99% of the common radioactive contaminants found in irradiated water.
It’s the perfect on-the-spot method to keep a clean water supply on hand.
Best of all, you can find one of these pitchers online for less than $100.
It’s a small investment to help protect you and your family.
And it’s a quick way to get yourself prepared on the fly.
P.S. There’s another deadly form of radiation that nobody’s talking about. Studies have linked it to Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, brain tumors, infertility, sleep disorders and more. But there’s a simple solution (I’m giving it away for free). Click here for all the details.
