The Big Story Missing From the GOP Debate

|August 25, 2023
The first GOP presidential primary debate will be held at Milwaukee's fiserv forum on August 23 2023.

The first Republican presidential debate has come and gone.

Our main takeaway from the two hours of pandering, bickering and fighting?

No matters who’s in charge… the government is not here to enrich your life.

Are you shocked?

If you actually stayed up to watch the event, you know very little attention was paid to the shaky economy or ways to improve it.

Some jabs were thrown at China, which is dealing with its own financial calamity right now. And at the current administration, of course. But mostly, the focus stayed on more click-friendly social issues.

We’ll let others dissect the debate from every angle… and determine the winners and the losers.

Instead, we’ll focus on what should’ve been the real story of the night… at least for investors.

The news broke just a few hours before the debate kicked off.

It has a much better chance of enriching your life than what was said on the debate stage.

Stock of the Week YEAR

Just after the market close on Wednesday, Nvidia (NVDA) reported earnings for the second quarter. And, boy oh boy, it did not disappoint.

You’ve no doubt heard Nvidia’s name mentioned a lot this year. It’s been on most investors’ radars.

Our resident Trading Champion Alpesh Patel has been bullish on the stock since January.

Alpesh is well known for his Stock of the Week video series, through which he highlights stocks that meet his strict investing criteria.

It’s one of our most popular features. After all, you get insights from a successful hedge fund CEO – who also works with royals and government leaders around the world – for FREE as a subscriber. (You’re welcome.)

But while Alpesh has yet to cover Nvidia in Stock of the Week – despite putting it in his own retirement portfolio, as well as his son’s – we think it’s time to give this high-flying stock its due.

In fact… we’re going to take Alpesh’s Stock of the Week idea one step further…

And declare Nvidia our Stock of the Year.

It’s easy to see why.

The stock is the poster child for the AI trend that’s taken over Wall Street. With every industry adopting AI technology, Nvidia’s chips are in high demand.

The stock is up an astonishing 230% on the year… while the Nasdaq is up a respectable 30% and the S&P has risen 15%.

But the rocket ride is far from over. We learned on Wednesday that Nvidia’s sales for the second quarter clocked in at $13.51 billion, up an incredible 101% over the same period last year. Earnings came in at $2.70 per share, up a scorching 429% year over year.

Investors celebrated by sending the stock to a record high of around $515 in after-hours trading.

And with current revenue guidance at $16 billion, blowing past Wall Street’s already high expectations of $12.5 billion…

Nvidia doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon.

It’s more proof that the AI trend isn’t going anywhere.

Trend of the Century

AI may very well be the Trend of the Century.

If you’re not taking advantage of it… you could be missing out on life-changing gains.

It’s worth noting that not only did Alpesh tap into the generational wealth-building potential of AI when he picked up shares of Nvidia back in January…

But his hedge fund was also one of the first to use AI in its stock selection… ahead of investing powerhouses like JPMorgan Chase.

The results have been so powerful… and profitable… that Alpesh will soon host a first-of-its-kind event for Manward readers. (Stay tuned!) In it, he’ll show you how he’s using AI to take his investing and trading system to new levels…

And, more importantly, how you can use and benefit from AI yourself.

So send us your questions about investing in AI… about using AI… or about anything else that’s AI-related.

We’ll make sure Alpesh answers them here or at his event.

Send an email to mailbag@manwardpress.com.

We’ll have many more details about this FREE event soon.

Don’t miss out on the biggest and most exciting story of the year… and even the century.
